London – Liverpool won the English Football Charity Shield for the 16th time in its history, following beating Manchester City 3-1 today, Saturday, in the match that was held at the “King Power” stadium in the English city of Leicester.
Liverpool advanced in the 21st minute through Alexander Arnold, while Manchester City waited until the 72nd minute to score the equalizer through Julian Alvarez.
In the 83rd minute, Liverpool scored his second goal through Mohamed Salah from a penalty kick, before Darwin Nunez added the third goal in the fourth minute of the second half.
