Liverpool begins negotiations to renew Salah’s contract.. and the Egyptian sets two conditions

Mohamed Salah’s name has recently been linked to a move to the Saudi League, according to press reports, which indicated that he received two offers from Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal clubs during the summer of 2023, but the Liverpool management rejected the idea of his departure.

The Egyptian star insisted on staying with the Reds this season and not leaving for a new experience, while Liverpool’s management did not move to negotiate with the Egyptian star in order to retain his services.

Mohamed Salah said in an interview with Sky Sports on Friday that he wants Liverpool fans to remember him as one of the best players to ever play for the Reds, throughout history.

“I hope to be the best, or maybe not the best ever, but at least among the best players on the team,” he added.

The Egyptian channel “On Time Sports” quoted sources from the English club Liverpool, saying that negotiations to renew Mohamed Salah’s contract have already begun.

The Egyptian channel indicated, quoting sources within the English club, that there are still obstacles regarding the renewal process, but the two parties will sit down and explain their demands to each other.

She added: “The desire to renew between the two parties exists, and it will be decided.”

These sources denied the rumors about Liverpool’s success in contracting with the Italian Federico Chiesa, who came from Juventus, in anticipation of Mohamed Salah’s departure, and confirmed that the contract with him came to strengthen the depth of the squad.

Mohamed Salah has been playing for Liverpool since the summer of 2017, when he joined the team from Italian club Roma.

The Egyptian “Pharaoh” contributed to achieving many titles with Liverpool, most notably the Champions League, the English Premier League, and the European Super Cup, as well as the Club World Cup.
