With the sounds of the traditional Eurovision anthem, Charpentier’s “Te Deum”, the 67th Eurovision Song Contest opened in Liverpool on the dot of 9 p.m. In the next few hours, 26 countries will compete once morest each other in the battle for the singing crown of Europe.
The top favorites, however, are Sweden with ESC returnee Loreen and her number “Tattoo” as well as Finland’s Käärijä and his metal rap “Cha Cha Cha”. And finally, there’s last year’s winner Ukraine, who is going into the race with the duo Tvorchi and the electro-pop song “Heart Of Steel”.
