Maarten van Zetten, the winner of the previous two editions, is not there. His training mate, Leendert van der Lugt, is now the big favourite. He came second in both 2019 and 2022. The athlete from Alblasserdam recently trained on the course. Nienke Kluft, last year’s first woman, is also missing. Leonie Ton, number two at the time, will start once more. She also won the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen Marathon once.
