Kandinskys, Maleviches and Rodchenkos stuck in Seoul. Dozens of works by Russian painters, including Wassily Kandinsky, Kasimir Malevich and Alexander Rodchenko, are blocked in South Korea due to the suspension of flights imposed after the invasion of Ukraine, organizers of an exhibition announce at the Sejong Art Museum in Seoul. The exhibition ended on Sunday but around 50 paintings are blocked in the South Korean capital due to the lack of flight options. “Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the Russian side is looking for a way to receive them without going through an air link”, according to the organizers. The works had been loaned by four Russian institutions including the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum and the Yekaterinburg Fine Arts Museum. These tables include Improvisation 4 (1909) by Kandinsky and Suprematism (1915-16) by Malevich, as well as jewish venus (1912) de Mikhail Larionov.
First assessment in Lviv. Russian missile strikes on Monday morning on Lviv, a major city in western Ukraine, left at least six people dead and eight injured and left “severely damaged” military infrastructure, announces the regional governor. “At this time, we have identified six dead and eight injured. Ukrainian Railways reported on Telegram that “several missiles fell near the railway installations”without causing any casualties and without impeding traffic in Lviv. “We will repair our damaged infrastructure. The railway continues to operate”said the chairman of the board of directors of the company, Alexandre Kamychine, publishing the photo of houses on fire directly near a railway line.
Lviv again targeted by strikes.
