HEAVY TANKS: “WE ARE DEPRIVED OF INFORMATION”
After the announcement of delivery of heavy tanks by Washington and Berlin, should France take the plunge? “She must decide sovereignly, it is up to her alone to decide”, without “pressure” from outside, “and I believe that she should not. It is a change of logic, of paradigm”, estimated on LCI Sébastien Chenu, RN vice-president of the National Assembly, worrying regarding an “escalation”.
“I have the feeling that we are going up a step and that we do not know where all this stops”, he regretted, fearing that France was entering into a “logic of co-belligerence”. “There is a logic that will position us, put us in danger”, worried the elected RN, who considered that “offensive aid is going too far”.
“Parliamentarians should be able to be consulted and decide through a vote,” he continued. “The President of the Republic must consult the national representation, we are deprived of information, it does not help to form an informed opinion”, castigated the deputy from the North. “We can only settle (the conflict, editor’s note) diplomatically,” he also said.
