EL PASO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and other federal, state and local first responders will conduct a live training exercise on October 26.
The training exercise will take place from 8pm to 3am and street closures will occur.
The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Union Building will be closed to the public for the exercise.
Street closures:
-University Avenue near Hilton Garden Inn Hotel
-Randolph Dr. entrance to Kidd Field
Participating agencies include El Paso Police Department, El Paso Fire Department, FBI, El Paso Sheriff’s Office, BorderRAC, US Border Patrol, El Paso Department of Public Health , the Texas Department of Emergency Management and the Medical Examiner.
Surrounding businesses have been notified, along with law enforcement and medical entities.
