For many years, Pham Thu Ha has steadfastly pursued the path of classical crossover, bringing classical music mixed with different genres. This project once once more affirms her efforts, when clearly showing the “Popification” of the classical singing style, creating a unique quality for each song, without making them forced and unfamiliar.
Sharing with a reporter from VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, Pham Thu Ha said that some songs will have classical qualities, some will be lyrical, some will have traditional musical instruments…

“I have always wanted to affirm that classical music is not as difficult to listen to as people assume. The team’s biggest wish is to bring this product closer to the public, especially young audiences, helping them to fully feel the beauty of classical music,” the artist shared.
Live Studio Session is divided into 4 parts. Part 1 includes familiar lyrical and romantic songs: “Winter Street” (Bao Chan); “Know how long” (Do Bao); “How many happy days in life” (Chau Dang Khoa); “Sorry” (Ho Tien Dat)… Part 2 is a new combination of Pham Thu Ha with two young vocalists Nguyen Dinh Tuan Dung and Pham Anh Duy. Part 3 is dedicated to the works of Trinh Cong Sonthe musician that Pham Thu Ha admires very much through the songs: “Fall in love,” “How many degrees of yellow flowers,” “Dilemma”… Part 4 takes the audience to a classic space, where Pham Thu Ha maximizes her strengths and creativity.
From now until the end of 2023, the female singer will in turn hold performances and release 4 MVs (“Winter Street,” “Know How Long,” “Sorry,” “Tomorrow Without You”) and broadcast the stages of the Live Studio Session project on YouTube, Spotify… Finally, she will choose the 8 most special songs to release on vinyl.
Composer Nguyen Tuan Nam is the one who remixes songs dedicated to Pham Thu Ha’s voice.
The musician said that if in the past, Vietnamese singers had to go to the US to produce vinyl records, now Pham Thu Ha pioneered in Vietnam with an all-Vietnamese team: Music Director Nguyen Tuan Namsound director Nguyen Duy Nghia, director of photography Do Hong Son, Namjazznight Chamber Orchestra.
“Different from normal projects that only honor singers, Pham Thu Ha wishes to show the public the beauty of symphonic music and the artistic labor of the musicians attending the show. We do not perform a performance program and then it will fade into oblivion, but are recorded, filmed and saved on vinyl records,” said musician Tuan Nam.
