Eight parties are running in the Salzburg state elections on Sunday. What is new in this election is how the preferential votes are assigned. Every person entitled to vote can submit two of them. Preliminary election result already on Sunday
A preliminary result will be available for the first time on Sunday. In the past elections, the voting cards were not counted until days following the election Sunday, this time it will be done on April 23rd. However, an official final result will probably not be known until Wednesday following the decision by the state electoral authority.

From 4.45 p.m., SN local manager Heidi Huber will provide a picture of the mood from the government headquarters in Salzburg’s Kaiviertel.
