MEXICO CITY.- It began on Military Civic Parade for the 214 years of Cry of Independencelast of the president’s six-year term Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The military parade began at 11:00 in the morning without any message from the president on the occasion of the Independence of Mexico.
The National guardcreated five years ago by the Obrero administration, led Mexico’s traditional civic-military parade.
Invited to the last military parade of AMLO’s six-year term
Accompanying President López Obrador, in the last military parade of his government, is the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum.
Also in the pavilion are the high command of the Mexican Armed Forces: the General Louis Crescent Sandovalhead of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), and the Admiral José Rafael Ojeda, head of the Secretariat of the Navy-Navy of Mexico (Semar).
Also present: Martí Batres Guadarramahead of Government of CDMX; Luisa María Alcalde Luján, head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) and Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSyPC) as well as his spokesperson, the journalist Jesús Ramírez Cuevas.
In total, AMLO’s last civic-military parade as president of Mexico included:
- 32 war flags
- 15,5688 from the three armed forces and the National Guard
- 6 foreign advisors from friendly countries
- 143 honorary soldiers
- 115 charros and civilians
- 753 land vehicles
- 92 aircraft
- 21 boats
- 449 horses
- 111 canes
- 20 birds, including eagles and falcons
