According to the document given to the British press, this first audience of King Charles III before Parliament will follow a very strict protocol order.
The king must enter Westminster around 10:20 a.m. (11:20 a.m. French time), accompanied by the queen consort, his wife Camilla, to the sound of trumpets. The assembly must then wait until he is seated to sit down in turn.
The Lord Speaker of the House of Lords will then speak, and read an address from the House of Lords to Her Majesty. Then the Lord Speaker of the House of Commons will do the same, and the King will respond to them in turn, before handing the text of his speech to the two Presidents of the House.
The national anthem will then be played, following which the two Speakers and the Chamberlain will accompany Her Majesty in ceremony to the gates of Westminster.
