The top European teams will return to the fight for the Champions League title, following a break in a season that will be full of excitement and enthusiasm.

Real Madrid managed to return to winning the title last season, following defeating Liverpool in the final with a goal without a response, to continue to lead the most crowning of the title 14 times.

The draw for the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League will take place on Thursday 25 August 2022.

It is expected that the draw will be held in the Turkish city of Istanbul, and will be held at six o’clock in the evening Egypt time, seven in the evening Saudi time.

In addition to the draw ceremony, the ceremony will witness the distribution of the European Football Association, the best player and coach awards in the last season in Europe.

When does the 2022-23 Champions League start?

The group stage of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League begins on Tuesday 6 September 2022.

The schedule of matches will be compressed compared to previous seasons, in order to complete the six rounds before the start of the World Cup in Qatar at the end of next November.

There will be six group stage matches, with the last group stage matches scheduled for Wednesday 2 November.
