Lithuanian mobile phone operator compared: 250 mln profit alone. euros | Business

Telia received the most revenue last year (477 million euros), in this respect it occupies a dominant market share (35%). Tele2 received 365 million EUR revenue, and “Bitė” – 321 million. euros.

The three big mobile providers occupy 98 percent. all SIM card markets, and Tele2 leads here with 39 percent. Customers of this operator also talk for the most minutes (43%).

Meanwhile, when comparing data usage, Telia customers dominate (37 percent of the data market).

Last year was very good for the two telecommunications companies – they raised almost 250 million in total. euro profit. The most profitable was Tele2, which received 121 million. EUR before taxes, while Telia received EUR 72 million. euros. These two companies increased their profits during the year by 17 and 18 percent, respectively, they indicate scoris.lt.

“Bitė”, having recorded a profit of ten million euros (64 million euros), showed worse results than last year. Their profit decreased by 22 percent.

One Tele2 employee statistically brings almost half a million to the company. EUR income (494 thousand). and one company’s “bee” statistically brings 316 thousand bees to the “Bitė Lietuva” hive. euros. Telia, which has twice as many employees as its competitors, has the lowest number – 241 thousand. euros.

One active SIM card, or otherwise one user using the services, generates quite different results for companies.

One Tele2 active card generates 19 euros per month, Bitės – 22 euros, and Telia – 35 euros, according to scoris.lt.

Of course, these are only statistical averages – mobile communication companies do not only make money by selling communication services to SIM card holders.

Despite the large differences in the specific category, the salaries in the three companies do not differ too much. According to Scoris, the lowest average salary – 3,030 euros before taxes – is received by the employees of “Bitė”.

The salary of Telia Lietuva employees is 3,285 euros, and that of Tele2 is 3,210 euros before taxes.
