Lithuania has decided to expel Russian Charge d’Affaires Sergey Ryabokon from the country. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
“This decision of Lithuania was made taking into account the information provided by the competent authorities, which substantiates the fact that the recent actions and statements of Ryabokon (regarding the storming of the TV tower in Vilnius in 1991 – approx. URA.RU) are incompatible with the status of a diplomat, can be regarded as interference in internal affairs of the host state, ”the agency’s official website says. According to the note issued, Ryabkov must leave the country within 5 days.
