“It was a movie”: a wiretap reveals alias “El Escalofriante” after an attack in Zone 15

David Boya Canté, 19, was placed in preventive detention and charged with murder, attempted murder and concealment of his own life.
This subject was captured on August 15 for an armed attack recorded on the 12th of the same month at kilometer 8.5 of the route to El Salvador.
In the violent incident, a man identified as Wilver Fernando Salamá López, 29, died inside a vehicle. Meanwhile, a woman identified as Fernanda Gutiérrez, of Venezuelan origin, was injured.
At the hearing on Friday, August 16, the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) indicated that the suspect had followed the victims aboard a vehicle reported stolen, and then committed the crime.
Prior to committing the act, according to wiretaps, David Boya Canté called his partner to tell her that he had “got into trouble”, and hours later he made another call to tell the same woman that the event “was like a movie” referring to the attack.
Alias ”El Escalofriante” was arrested on Thursday 15th in the capital.
The National Civil Police on the social network X published: “the PNC has captured David de Jesús Boya Canté, 19 years old, alias El Escalofriante in the Quinta Samayoa neighborhood, zone 7, hitman of the Vatos Locos clique of the Mara Salvatrucha.”

The investigative body recalled that on the day of the attack, MP experts located 35 pieces of evidence, including 24 shell casings, a firearm with a sandblasted registration number, a firearm magazine and 14 live cartridges.
