Winner of FC Barcelona in the round of 16 of the Europa League, Manchester United has confirmed its return to the fore. Yet the start of the season (two defeats of entry into the Premier League) hardly suggested such a successful season for the Mancunians. In an interview with the Telegraph, Lisandro Martinez revealed the secrets of the Red Devils’ turnaround this season.
“Guys, it’s not possible”
“It was a tough start, that’s for sure. The way we lost, the attitude was really bad. We talked in the locker room, we said everything we needed to say. We looked… how to say? … the crest and we said, ‘Guys, this is not possible. We have to change this’. Directly we started to change everything – energy, in training, duels. And then we showed another spirit, another energy, another level of teamwork.” says the Argentinian defender.
