Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis, the rock and roll legend, has died at the age of 54, according to her mother.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter, Lisa Marie, has left us,” said her mother, Priscilla Presley.
And Lisa was transferred Thursday morning to a hospital, where she was put into an artificial coma and placed on resuscitation devices following suffering a heart attack, according to the website specialized in celebrity news “TMZ”, quoting unnamed sources.
The site added that Lisa’s housekeeper found her “unconscious” Thursday morning in Calabasas, an upscale suburb of Los Angeles.
Her ex-husband, Danny Keogh, who lives in the same house, performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took her to hospital.
“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known,” Priscilla Presley’s statement regarding her daughter read.
The news of Lisa Marie Presley’s death sparked a chain reaction from the singer’s friends, fans and personalities.
Film star Tom Hanks, who starred in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic “Elvis,” wrote a joint statement with his wife, Rita Wilson, via Instagram, saying, “Our hearts are broken by the sudden and heartbreaking death of Lisa Marie Presley.”
“Tom and I spent some time with the family during Elvis’ promotional tour for the movie. Honest, straightforward, touched, Lisa Marie was in anticipation of the film’s release,” Rita wrote.
She added, “She was speaking eloquently regarding her father, what the film meant to her, that it was a celebration of her father.”
Presley was last seen in public on Tuesday night at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills.
She was accompanied by her mother, and they were seen breaking down in tears as they watched Austin Butler win Best Actor for his role as her father.
During an emotional speech, the actor thanked the Presley family for their help during the film.
Butler said, “Thank you guys, thank you for opening your hearts and your memories and your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you both forever.”
Days before her death, Lisa Marie Graceland visited her father’s mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, to celebrate what would have been his 88th birthday on January 8.
After the news of Lisa Marie’s death, people laid flowers and lit candles outside the gates of Graceland.
Born in 1968, Lisa Marie has followed in her father’s footsteps and made a career in music. The star has released three albums, and her debut album in 2003 has sold hundreds of thousands of copies and received generally positive reviews.
Lisa Marie was very close to her father, who named his private jet following her. She was only nine years old when he died.
The only daughter of Elvis previously ran the Elvis Presley Foundation, before selling the bulk of her shares to a private investment firm in 2005.
However, she kept Graceland, her father’s home in Memphis, Tennessee.
Lisa Marie Presley married Danny Keough, whom she divorced in 1994, as well as actor Nicolas Cage, superstar Michael Jackson and composer Michael Lockwood.
Presley gave birth to four children, including Riley Keough, who became an actress and participated in works, including the movie “Mad Max: Fury Road”. She also lost her son Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide in July 2020, according to US media.
Last August, Presley wrote to People, regarding how she felt following the “horrific truth” of her son’s death.
“I have dealt with death, grief and loss since I was nine years old,” she wrote, referring to her age when Elvis died in 1977 from a heart attack and was 42.
Among those offering their condolences on her death was Michael’s sister, LaToya Jackson, who wrote on Twitter: “I will never forget sharing how much you love my brother, and thank you for your honesty. Rest in peace.”

“It’s hard to bear the news of the death of someone so young and full of life,” said Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson.
For her part, the American pop star “Pink” described Presley as “unique” and “very smart and sensitive”. [و] talented.”
“I had the opportunity to get to know Priscilla Presley when I was on Dancing with the Stars, and as a mother, I can’t imagine the pain you must be experiencing at the untimely death of Lisa Marie,” Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin wrote on Twitter.
As for John Travolta, he wrote on the same platform, “Dear little Lisa, I feel so sorry. I will miss you, but I know that I will see you once more.”
