Jamie Joseph Japan National Team Head Coach Comment
“I am very much looking forward to welcoming the All Blacks to Tokyo and playing in front of the Japanese fans. Domestically, we will be in New Zealand, and in Europe, we will be in England and France, both at the World Cup next year. I’m very excited to be facing three teams who are aiming to win the championship in 2018. This level of competition is what we need to strengthen our team for next year’s World Cup.
In the previous match once morest New Zealand in 2018, we scored 5 tries, but we were attacked by mistakes and frustrated with our open play offense, and we gave up 10 tries by full time. We are a better team than we were before and we want to be in our best form this fall and take the win away from the All Blacks.”
Comment from Mark Robinson, CEO of NZR (New Zealand Rugby)
“Japan’s rugby has grown in popularity in recent years, which is reflected in the performance of the Japanese national team, so the All Blacks will be looking forward to a tough test match in Tokyo.” , we look forward to further deepening our relationship with Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the top partner of the Japan National Rugby Team. It’s definitely going to be a great opportunity to watch the game.”
