LIP Big TV Titanium, made in Besançon

Lip presents the contemporary reinterpretation of Roger Tallon’s legendary Big TV watch.

The designer Roger Tallon designed several models for the Besançon house
icons including Big TV. Inspired by the work carried out on the Portavia 111 portable television, Roger Tallon has created a square piece, whose corners are curved for more softness when worn. Inside this square case is integrated a round dial for a perfect reading of the time. This model was offered with a steel case on a leather strap and was equipped with the Lip R184 electromechanical movement.

Today, Lip new generation perpetuates this avant-garde approach and draws inspiration from its rich past to offer contemporary timepieces. Entirely reworked, the BIG TV case now fits into an all-titanium unit and becomes the BIG TV TITANIUM. A first for the French manufacturer, which is presenting its new BIG TV on a bracelet integrated into the
case entirely in titanium. The alloy gives it sober and refined lines, while retaining the design of the original model.

With a weight of only 116 grams, comfortable on the wrist, this watch has a crown at 3 o’clock for greater maneuverability.
This reinterpretation, equipped with a mechanical self-winding movement, comes in two models: the GAxBI with a black dial and a second skeleton version with a titanium-coloured movement. These are available from mid-February on the Lip website and from authorized retailers.

One carries a Miyota 82S0 automatic movement, the other a Time Module NH72 skeleton movement. These two watches made in France, manufactured in Besançon as in the past, are both offered at 899 €.
