These are 21 artistes who invested the Chapel of the College of Eu, in Seine-Maritimeuntil May 1, 2023.
The Lions Club of Eu offers a new edition of its exhibition “Lions’Arts”. It highlights the artistic talents of members, former members or persons connected with Lions Clubs in the region. Artists are more or less used to exhibitions.
A longship and coastal landscapes
” We have more sculptors this year than in previous editions”, points out Michel Couvreur, member of the Lions Club. These sculptors have broad themes of inspiration: longship, virgin and child. The same goes for painters and photographers. The photos take you on a journey from the Baie de Somme to Venice. The paintings are abstract or figurative, with animal paintings and many coastal landscapes. In all, more than 160 works can be admired.
A raffle to try to win a painting
During the opening, Marc Hugo Sere also recalled that a raffle was organized in favor of the social works of the club. Visitors can try their luck to win an exhibit. Laurent Llopez, Deputy Mayor, thanked the Lions Club for bringing this historic site to life.
The city has benefited from the support of the Lions Club in certain projects, including the installation of equipment suitable for people with reduced mobility on the fitness trail and the new facilities for the Hôtel-Dieu kindergarten.
The exhibition and sale is visible until May 1, at the Chapelle du Collège de Eu. Admission is free from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
