“Lions’ share” of Senegal, in terms of bonuses

Eliminated in the round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the Lions returned home to collect their bonuses. As good Lions, they carve out a good share.

On their return from Doha to Qatar, the Terenga Lions accompanied by their coach Aliou Cissé received a nice sum in terms of bonuses for their campaign.

For taking part in the qualifiers and the World Cup in Qatar, the players received a qualification and participation bonus of 80 million FCFA each. The State indeed paid 55 million FCFA and the Senegalese Football Federation added 25 million FCFA. As for Aliou Cissé, he received double the sum, owes 160 million FCFA and each of the 15 members of the management pocketed 75% of the 80 million FCFA, or 60 million FCFA.

For qualifying in the round of 16, each player collected 15 million FCFA. Here too, Aliou Cissé once more received double the sum which is 30 million FCFA and each member of the staff had 11,250,000 FCFA.
