Bankruptcy proceedings were opened today, Thursday, at the Linz regional court at the Linz regional court’s own application regarding the assets of the Linz-based care service provider MEDI-FAM. This is reported by the creditor protector KSV1870. Four employees and 20 creditors are affected. Liabilities amounting to 1.2 million euros are offset by assets of around 36,000 euros. According to the application, the company is no longer able to continue operations due to a lack of financing and liquid assets. According to KSV, it can be assumed that the company will be closed and completely sold.
MEDIFAM specialized in services in the care sector, including the placement of workers as well as the rental and leasing of care properties. However, there were problems with the subletting of a nursing home in Linz-Urfahr. In addition, the training and placement of nursing staff was planned in cooperation with another company, but the business model might not be successfully implemented because suitable and sufficient staff were not available.
