It is one of the last of the French quantum. Created in early 2022 from work from the illustrious Kastler Brossel (LKB) laboratory, Welinq has discreetly made its nest. Hosted at the Pierre and Marie Curie campus of Sorbonne University in Paris, it has secured funding of 5 million euros, employs six people and aims to double its workforce by the end of the year. Discreet, but far from being an unknown, the nugget has already made a name for itself in this small environment. Its presence at Viva Tech, from June 14 to 17, alongside other CNRS start-ups, only confirms its emergence.
