Linky meter: How to use the device advantageously and save money on the electricity bill?

To study its power consumption, the box often decried can present some advantages to evaluate the costs.

The deployment of the Linky meter is considered a success in France, despite some recalcitrants and a lot of criticism. Already on December 31 of last year, the Energy Regulatory Commission explained that “more than 90% of Enedis customers were equipped with it.”

Nevertheless, this much-maligned meter still has some advantages for measuring its consumption directly.

It is moreover for this reason that this device, presented as a “smart” device had basically been proposed.

It not only allows electricity suppliers to read electricity consumption remotely, but also for individuals, the reading is therefore fairer and more regular. Consumers can also follow their consumption in detail, over the different periods of the day.

According to Enedis, the Linky meter might play a major role in the management of uses and therefore in the ecological transition.

Directly on the meter

To control your consumption and above all to be able to understand it and be aware of what you are spending, all you have to do is use the features present directly on the meter.

It is thus possible by clicking on certain keys, to know its precise consumption in kWh, the peak and off-peak hours as well as the maximum power used.

Via l’application mobile

Consumption data is available via the Enedis mobile application. Just the Download to follow its consumption live, by hour, by day, by month. With even the possibility of comparing it with other similar fireplaces.

Eco-gestures

Then, once the consumption observed and identifiedanyone can proceed to some eco-gestures which will make it possible to act to lower the bill.

L’Ademethe French Environment and Energy Management Agency explains that some everyday actions can reduce consumption.

You can act, for example, by turning off your internet box when you leave your home, replacing your bulbs with LEDs, lowering the heating temperature by 1°C, using eco modes for washing machines or washing -dishes….
