Linkin Park Recorded a Song to Promote the Big “League of Legends” Tournament

Linkin Park certainly didn’t imagine their return to the stage this way. There’s a lot of controversy surrounding vocalist Emily Armstrong. Not all fans accept her as Chester Bennington’s successor, but her ties to Scientology are proving to be just as big a problem – if not bigger.

Of course, despite the controversies, the numbers match – the single “The Emptiness Machine” has over 100 million streams on Spotify alone after three weeks of release. Now, another premiere track, “Heavy Is The Crown,” has appeared online. Some listeners may be surprised because the animated video for this track landed not on Linkin Park’s channel, but on the “League Of Legends” channel. Linkin Park are promoting this year’s championship in this game with their new single.

Both new songs will appear on the band’s new album, scheduled for November 15. – The title “From Zero” is a nod to our humble beginnings and the journey we’re on. Before Linkin Park, our first band was called Xero. In terms of music and the emotions behind it, we have the past, present and future. The sound is the same, but it’s been improved and has more life to it. The material that’s been created has been created with appreciation for the long-time members of LP and respect for the freshness that Emily and Colin have brought. The new songs are about our families, our friends and our fans. We’re proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years and excited about what’s ahead – explains Mike Shinoda.
