The Carolina Panthers agreed to four-time Pro Bowl linebacker Justin Houston on a one-year deal Sunday.

Houston, a 12-year NFL veteran, gives the Panthers a specialist quarterback rusher they were looking to play on the opposite side of Brian Burns. Houston has 111 1/2 sacks in his career, including 9 1/2 last season with the Baltimore Ravens.
