Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Motorized Tactical Operations Unit of the Lince Group, with a team of eight personnel and three motorcycles, was installed to begin operating permanently in the city of San Estanislao, with the aim of guaranteeing security on the streets in the area.
The uniformed officers will be stationed at the Eighth Police Station, where from now on they will deploy all their logistical capacity, mainly to reinforce security at strategic points in the city through patrols and preventive controls in places of greater attendance.
“We are arriving and carrying out preventive tasks with the people, so that people can feel and see the presence of the Lince Group,” said Commissioner Gustavo Ruiz Díaz, head of the Motorized Group, in an interview with Radio Nacional San Pedro.
The presence of agents from this group is part of the expansion of the coverage area of this unit, which has tripled the number of personnel and resources during the current government administration.
The municipal authorities had previously requested the Minister of the Interior, Enrique Riera, to use these agents to reinforce the National Police’s operational coverage, taking into account that San Pedro is one of the cities with the largest population.
In this regard, it is noted that the main task of the motorized group is to accompany the prevention and surveillance work, which involves training aimed at strategies that allow controlling chases and avoiding risk situations for citizens due to illegal acts.
