The by-election for Taichung City’s Second District Legislative Council ended successfully yesterday. DPP legislator Lin Jingyi defeated Kuomintang candidate Yan Kuanheng with 88,752 votes and was successfully elected as Legislator of the Second District. Former legislator Chen Baiwei also revealed his next move on the 10th.

Chen Baiwei accompanied Lin Jingyi on the legislative by-election trip in Longjing and Shalu today (10) followingnoon, and was asked what his plans are for the next step? Will you go back to Kaohsiung? Or stay in Taichung? Chen Baiwei replied, “Taichung, it must be Taichung!” But he also emphasized that politics is not always thinking regarding where to go next.

Chen Baiwei recalled that he was unsuccessful in the Kaohsiung City Council election. He did not expect to come to Taichung.
