We want to present how it is possible to raise cattle while preserving nature. There is no big pollution here. Beef cattle can be raised in an environmentally friendly way,” says Mindaugas, who is from Anykščiai, following opening the door of his farm in Leliūnai.
He started farming in 2013, when he bought buildings, farms and 36 cattle.
“I went from one beef cattle course to another. Once I came to a course in Leliūnai. The practical part took place on this farm. Its owner mentioned that he is selling the farm because his health no longer allows it, and his children do not want to farm. After half a year, I came back to negotiate”, – the young farmer who works together with his father, sister and 5 hired workers told the beginning.
He assures that he does not regret his decision. Although following studying economic sciences that have nothing to do with agriculture, following tasting office work with animals, he realized that it was much calmer. They always show how they feel, and people can smile at you, but it’s not really clear what to think regarding you.
