MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday night, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 121-105. Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo led the charge, combining for 51 points, 24 rebounds, and 16 assists in a game that showcased the Bucks’ depth and resilience.
Lillard finished with 26 points and eight assists, while Antetokounmpo added 25 points,16 rebounds, and eight assists. Brook Lopez also made a critically important impact, scoring 22 points, with 17 of those coming in the first half. AJ Green and Gary Trent Jr. contributed 14 points each, helping the Bucks secure their second straight win after a rough patch where they lost four of five games.
On the Spurs’ side, Keldon Johnson led the scoring with 24 points, supported by Chris Paul’s 18 points and Harrison Barnes’ 14. Victor Wembanyama, the highly touted rookie, recorded a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Milwaukee’s offensive firepower.
The game was tightly contested early, with the score tied at 33 in the second quarter. However, the Bucks seized control with a dominant 32-13 run to close the half. Green, Lopez, and Lillard were instrumental during this stretch, draining three-pointers to build a comfortable lead. The Spurs attempted a comeback in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to eight points behind Paul’s sharpshooting, but Milwaukee responded by extending their lead to 13 by the end of the period.
By the fourth quarter, the Bucks had built a 26-point lead, effectively putting the game out of reach. Milwaukee’s three-point shooting was a key factor, as they finished 19-for-42 from beyond the arc. In contrast, the Spurs struggled, shooting just 18-for-52 on three-point attempts.
San Antonio faced additional challenges with the absence of starting forward Jeremy Sochan, who averages 13.4 points per game, due to a back injury. The Spurs also had no players reach double figures in the first half, highlighting their offensive struggles.
Antetokounmpo set the tone early, scoring 11 points, grabbing five rebounds, and dishing out three assists in the first quarter alone. Lillard, meanwhile, didn’t score until the second quarter but quickly found his rhythm. A highlight of the game came just before halftime when Antetokounmpo blocked Devin Vassell’s dunk attempt, leading to a Lopez three-pointer that capped off a 19-point halftime lead for Milwaukee.
The Bucks’ first-half three-point shooting was particularly notable, as they went 12-for-24, with green hitting four of his five attempts, including a jaw-dropping 30-footer.
Looking ahead, the Spurs will travel to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, while the Bucks head to Orlando for a friday night matchup. With their recent performances, milwaukee appears to be regaining their form as they aim to climb the Eastern Conference standings.

Archyde: Damian, thank you for joining us today. The Milwaukee Bucks put on a spectacular show against the San Antonio Spurs last night, winning 121-105. You and Giannis combined for 51 points, 24 rebounds, and 16 assists. How does it feel to be part of such a dynamic duo?
Damian Lillard: Thank you for having me. it’s always a great feeling when the team comes together and executes the way we did last night. Giannis and I have been working hard to build that chemistry on the court, and it’s starting to show.when we’re both clicking, it opens up so many opportunities for the rest of the team. It’s not just about us—it’s about how we can elevate everyone around us.
Archyde: You finished the game with 26 points and eight assists, while Giannis added 25 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists. How do you two complement each other’s playing styles so effectively?
Damian Lillard: I think it’s a perfect balance. Giannis is such a dominant force in the paint and on the boards, and his ability to push the pace is unmatched. My job is to control the tempo, create shots for myself and others, and knock down those outside looks when the defense collapses on him. We’re both unselfish players, and that makes it easier to play off each other. when he’s rolling, I feed him, and when I’m hot, he’s looking for me. it’s a two-way street.
Archyde: Brook Lopez also had a standout performance with 22 points. How critically important is it to have that kind of contribution from the supporting cast?
Damian Lillard: Brook was huge for us last night. He’s been a consistent presence all season, and his ability to stretch the floor with his shooting while also protecting the rim on defense is invaluable. When you have guys like Brook stepping up, it takes so much pressure off Giannis and me. It’s a team game, and nights like last night remind us how deep and talented this roster is. Everyone played their role, and that’s why we came out with the win.
Archyde: The Bucks have been on a roll lately, and this win adds to the momentum. What’s the mindset in the locker room as you head into the next stretch of the season?
Damian Lillard: The mindset is to keep building. We know we have the talent to compete with anyone, but it’s about staying focused and continuing to improve. Every game is an opportunity to get better, whether it’s tightening up our defense, executing our offense, or just building that trust and chemistry. We’re not satisfied with where we are—we want to be playing our best basketball when it matters most.
Archyde: what message do you have for Bucks fans who are excited about this team’s potential?
Damian Lillard: I’d say thank you for the support. The energy from the fans has been astonishing, and it means a lot to us as players. We’re working hard every day to bring a championship back to Milwaukee, and we’re going to keep fighting for it. Stick with us—it’s going to be a fun ride.
