Ligue 2: Paris FC-Le Havre will be played at Le Mans on January 17

Paris FC is faced with a real headache following the suspension of five games at the Charléty stadium following the incidents of December 17 once morest Lyon. If the club has appealed and hopes for a reduction or an adjustment of this heavy sanction, it must quickly find a fallback ground to already face Le Havre, Monday January 17 (8:45 p.m.) during the 21st day of L2. A match that will be televised live on BeIN sport.

According to our information, it will take place at the MMArena in Le Mans and will not be behind closed doors. Paris FC spoke with stadium officials and the Le Mans club, who have already agreed to host this match.

Paris FC had however sought another solution in the Paris region. But the stadiums approved for the L2 are not legion. The Stade Français rugby players’ Jean-Bouin stadium (Paris XVI), the Robert-Bobin stadium in Bondoufle where the Paris FC women play in D1 Arkema are not. Parisian leaders have also considered playing in Beauvais, where the Red Star and more recently Chambly have played in L2. But, at the LFP, they were told that it was not necessarily approved and that Chambly had benefited from a derogation.

The Duvauchelle stadium in Créteil not available

The most natural solution would have been the Dominique-Duvauchelle stadium in Créteil. Even if that would certainly have posed security problems, given the past antagonisms between the supporters of Créteil and the PFC. But if Créteil receives Le Mans on Friday January 14 in National, we informed Paris FC that the stadium will also be occupied on January 17 in the early evening (school, athletics, etc.).

There was also no certainty on the approval of the stadium in terms of lighting and video surveillance, the last visit of the LFP stadiums committee dating before the descent of Créteil in the National (season 2015-2016). A new inspection visit would have been necessary before January 17, which would have complicated the timing. To ensure the blow, Paris FC was therefore forced to turn to Le Mans to “receive” Le Havre, one of its direct opponents for the climb.

In addition, Paris FC has clarified its compensation terms following the stoppage of Paris FC-Lyon before the resumption of the second half. “Until the end of the season, each person who has purchased a ticket for the Paris FC-Lyon match will be able to benefit from three invitations to be used for the match (s) of their choice until the end of the season. No reimbursement will be made for the Paris FC-Lyon meeting, in accordance with the general conditions of sale ”indicated the club.
