Lyon had to reassure themselves, Lens had to continue their momentum. The two teams will not come out totally satisfied with this tight match which saw them share the points, Sunday September 15, at the Bollaert-Delelis stadium (0-0). The Gones, who needed this victory after a complicated start to the season, will be able to regret the two goals disallowed for offside by Gift Orban.

Although Georges Mikautadze brought a little more danger to Lyon when he came on in the 65th minute, he was unable to convert the few balls that came his way. Lens, for their part, often managed to be dangerous by going through the wings, without ever creating any clear-cut chances (only five shots on target). Pierre Sage’s players were at least able to reassure themselves about their defensive solidity, which caused them problems at the start of the season (eight goals conceded in three games). Lens climbed to 4th place in the championship (8 points), while Lyon are 13th (4 points).
