Lightyear opens the waiting list for the second generation of solar cars

In this context, the company reduced the size of the expensive battery and the cost to reduce the price of the second model, and to confirm its endeavor to provide reasonable prices for all electric car lovers.

The price of the new car is expected to be $40,000 less than the previous model, provided that the car’s shape is highly efficient, with a drag factor of regarding 0.175.

Production of the Lightyear 2 is expected to begin in 2025.
