The photo taken by our reader at 6:26 p.m. precisely shows light traces which are well aligned.
The most likely hypothesis here is that these are once more satellites from the Starlink constellation, a project by SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company.
Rebelote these next evenings?
SpaceX regularly puts satellites into orbit and at each launch, there are between 50 and 60 on average following one another in single file.
However, by going on the Starlink tracker siteit turns out that launched satellites were indeed observable during this five-minute period in the Pau region.
They will also still be there until January 2, always around 6:30 p.m.
If it was indeed Starlink.
