Life with two iPads to relax

The office is also home, but home is not just the office! At the end of the day, I could detach my iPad Air from the Magic Keyboard, I could automatically change the home screen, I could use focus modes to filter notifications from this or that app. In short, I could continue to work. But I still prefer to relax in front of my iPad mini.

While my iPad Air and Mac mini M1 share the same wallpaper and Dock, my iPad mini uses the same wallpaper and has (almost) the same Dock as my iPhone. It’s a matter of atmosphere, but also and above all of use. I see my iPad Air as a portable Mac, while I treat the iPad mini like my original iPad, which was never more than a big iPhone.

The home screens of the two tablets are not only different because they feature different apps, but because they behave differently. The icons are bigger on the smaller tablet, and yet seem lost in the middle of the screen, aligned on a grid that is neither that of the Dock nor that of the widgets. What a mess !
