German coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed that his team is not happy with the imminent departure of his compatriot Antonio Rudiger, the team’s defender, at the end of the current season, but added that he must accept the decision and extract the best from Rudiger for the remainder of the season.
Earlier this week, Tuchel had announced the departure of the German international defender following the end of his contract, as the sanctions imposed by the British government on Russian owner Roman Abramovich, Chelsea’s owner, prevented the club from contracting with new players or renewing the contracts of existing players.
And he concluded: “In the end, we will continue to fight, extract the maximum from the current squad, and push it to give its best.”
