Already highlighted at the beginning of the week, Lies of P was once more present on the last day of the IGN Fan Fest. Round8 Studio’s game got a new trailer and we were also treated to a release period.
Soulslike in the world of Pinocchio
If the game means nothing to you, Lies of P is a soulslike that takes place in the universe of Pinocchio. You play as the latter, who tries to find a way to save the city of Krat from the ravages caused by the puppets.
This new cinematic presents us with what seems to be one of the game’s bosses and once once more allows us to appreciate the care taken in the game’s universe. It takes place during the Belle Époque period, and explores the dark side of the universe. We see once more a Gepetto who might have many secrets to hide.
In addition to this new preview, we were also treated to a release window. Announced in May 2021, we knew since Gamescom 2022 that the title would be released day one in the Xbox Game Pass. We now know that it is in August 2023 that Lies of P will be available on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
