Liège justice sells Bernard Tapie’s Saint-Tropez villa

It is our colleagues from L’Echo who announce it. Interested parties have until July 6 to make themselves known to the Liège company court, which is managing the sale.

To understand, you have to go back to 2010. It was at this time that the Belgian side of Bernard Tapie’s companies started in Belgium. He then created GBT Holding. This Belgian structure houses various assets. Including the villa that the businessman owned in Saint-Tropez. The French body responsible for recovering the 404 million euros awarded to Bernard Tapie by arbitration which was later declared fraudulent, had followed the Belgian track, making seizures. Finally, the Belgian companies of Bernard Tapie had been put into liquidation by the Liège company court in 2018 and the bankruptcy had been pronounced in September 2020. The Liège justice, the curator of GBT Holding in this case, thus been responsible for putting the Saint-Tropez villa up for sale.
