In recent years, Lidl has expanded its offer beyond food and home products. The chain has gradually invested in new technologies by offering trendy products while keeping its discounter DNA. We have seen wireless vacuum cleaners, audio headsets…

From now on, the brand is adding a new string to its bow by embarking on video games. For the past few days, Lidl has been offering retro-style consoles for sale at an attractive price (18.99 euros). Let’s calm the ardor of gamers right away, these are consoles intended for children with licenses specially designed for them, such as Frozen or Pat’Patrouille.

In detail, the console is a LEXIBOOK offering a 2.5-inch LDC screen that can run 150 games (140 classic games as well as 10 exclusive games linked to the chosen license). It will take 3 AAA batteries to operate the whole thing.

A total success for Lidl since, since their launch, the consoles have been selling like hotcakes. Stock shortages have already been observed in several stores, whether in Belgium or France. On the discounter’s website, the product is already sold out.
