On Friday, the second Upper Austrian “Long Night of BibliOÖtheken” takes place, where the public libraries (usually until 9 p.m.) present themselves as local cultural suppliers and meeting places for reading enthusiasts. Eleven libraries are taking part in the Vöcklabruck district.
The city library Attnang-Puchheim invites you to a reading with the Schwanenstadt crime writer Herbert Dutzler (8 p.m., Maximilianhaus). It’s getting spooky in the parish library Weyregg at 6 p.m. (children aged five and over) or 7 p.m. (aged eight and over). In cooperation with the Gahberg observatory, the library invites Lenzing to an evening regarding astronomy (from 5 p.m.). There are stories and handicrafts for children in the parish library Voecklabruck (from 5 p.m.). Puzzles and games related to Harry Potter’s magical world are on the program in the library Incidentally (6 p.m.). Mini stories by Hermione Glück are available in the parish library Ottnang to be heard (4 p.m.). Scary stories of elementary school students are in the library Neukirchen/V. read aloud (7 p.m.). In the parish library Schörfling there is a children’s book cinema (6 and 7 p.m.). Ghost stories with night walks are in the parish library Ampflwang on the program (7 p.m.). In the library Schwanenstadt there will be a picture book cinema for children from 6 p.m., following which selected new releases will be presented, accompanied by an ensemble from the music school.
