Libertad advances in the Sudamericana and will face another Paraguayan team in the round of 16

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Gumarelo team fulfilled its role in the playoffs and brought Ecuador qualification after tying 1-1 with the Universidad Católica team.

Let us remember that the Paraguayan team had won the first leg in Asunción by 2-0.

José Fajardo opened the scoring for the home team, while Óscar Cardozo sealed the tie as the game was coming to an end.

With this result, Ariel Galeano’s team qualifies for the round of 16 of the Conmebol Sudamericana, where they will face Ameliano’s team in the first half of August.
