Liberal Youth appeals to public service broadcasters to take the protection of children and young people seriously
Vienna (OTS) – “As a Viennese, you know the rumors regarding the excesses of the alleged child porn user Florian Teichtmeister. But now it turns out that the ORF may also pay if Teichtmeister pays the bill in posh restaurants,” criticized Maximilian Weinzierl, Federal Chairman of the Freedom Youth.
Actors often earn money not only from the shooting of a film, but also from the subsequent release of the films on television. It can therefore not be ruled out that Teichtmeister will collect fines for the recent re-broadcast of a thriller on ORF, in which Teichtmeister played the role of a rapist.
“As Freedom Youth we demand from the ORF to stop such a degenerate handling of compulsory fees. In this specific case, we expect a statement from the ORF as to whether Teichtmeister received some kind of fee for the broadcast of the film in question or not. ORF Director General Weißmann must also do everything possible to ensure that the protection of children and young people is taken more seriously in the future than the support of a former colleague who will have to answer in court in the autumn for possessing thousands of child pornography images,” affirmed FJ federal chairman Maximilian Weinzierl .
