A FEW days before his death, Liam Payne had his contract revoked by record label Universal Music, the Mail can reveal.
Originally signed to Sony as part of One Direction, Liam signed a deal with Capitol Records, a label owned by Universal, in July 2016 as he began his solo career at the age of 22.
Liam reportedly felt “delighted” when signing with Capitol in what is understood to be a very lucrative deal.

The label was a subsidiary of Universal, but in the company’s most recent shake-up, it came under the main label.
Tonight, Universal Music Group posted a picture of Liam Payne on Instagram saying they were “devastated” by his death.
Payne, 31, fell from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, on Wednesday evening, before medical personnel confirmed his death.

“Of all the members of One Direction, Liam is on the wrong track musically.”
It is understood the release of her second album was delayed before Universal withdrew her contract.
Meanwhile, it was also revealed Liam’s PR resigned earlier this month, leaving him without a publicity representative.
The resignation comes as Liam’s ex-fiancee Maya Henry began legal proceedings against the singer after accusing him of contacting her repeatedly.
One source said: “It looks like Liam’s entire music career that he’s built since he went solo eight years ago is being destroyed, there’s very little left for him. “This must be devastating for him.” (Dailymail/Z-3)
