Although Taiwan’s World Universiade men’s team gymnastics team finished 6th in the finals on the 2nd, Li Zhikai, known as the “Prince of the Pommel Horse”, won three final tickets for the Individual All-Around, Pommel Horse and Horizontal Bar in the individual qualifying competition. .

The individual all-around final is scheduled to be held at 14:30 pm on the 4th, but Li Zhikai has been removed from the final list, indicating that Li Zhikai has retired.

Coach Lin Yuxin confirmed that due to his physical injury and poor recovery, Li Zhikai gave up the all-around competition and fought hard for the pommel horse and horizontal bar finals the day following tomorrow.

In the 2-day qualifying competition, Li Zhikai entered the final with a difficulty score of 6.1 and an implementation score of 8.766 in his favorite pommel horse event, with a total score of 14.866 and ranked second overall. In the horizontal bar event, Li Zhikai scored 13.800 points and ranked 11th. However, because only two players from each country might advance to the final, Li Zhikai still qualified for the final. In the individual all-around part, he won the 8th place with a total score of 83.299 and advanced to the final.
