It is reported that the LG Group will establish a new organization next month to analyze global policies and establish response strategies.
According to the business world on the 11th, LG Group is reviewing a plan to establish a new ‘Global Strategy Center’ under the LG Management Development Institute through organizational reorganization next month.
It is known that the center will recruit Yoon Chang-ryeol, a visiting professor at Seoul National University who served as deputy head of the Office for Government Policy Coordination. Former Deputy General Yoon, who graduated from the Administrative Examination (34th), spent most of his public service life in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Prime Minister’s Office.
He served as the 1st and 2nd Vice-Chairmen of the Vice-Minister level following serving as the Director of the Social Coordination Office and the Director of the State Administration Office in the Office for Government Policy Coordination. He also served as the chief social worker at the Blue House in the Moon Jae-in administration.
The establishment of the Global Strategy Center is interpreted as a measure to strengthen response to global supply chain issues such as the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the European Union (EU) Core Raw Materials Act (CRMA).
The LG Group has LG Energy Solutions, a battery company, and LG Chem, which produces battery materials, as affiliates.
