Lewis Hamilton wins British GP and sets F1 record

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) reaffirmed his status as a living legend by winning his twelfth Formula One World Championship in front of his home fans on Sunday in Great Britain. On the Silverstone circuit, where he set two historic records in the top category in one fell swoop.

Hamilton raised his own record of victories to 104 and became the first driver to win the same race nine times.

Sir Lewis, 39, claimed his first win of the year, his first in almost three since December 2021, when he won in Saudi Arabia.
