Lewis Hamilton “The current Red Bull F1 and Verstappen are almost invincible”[F1-Gate.com]

Lewis Hamilton believes Red Bull F1 and Max Verstappen are in a league of their own in terms of outright performances in finals and ‘almost unbeatable’.

At Monza on Sunday, Max Verstappen claimed his 11th victory of the season and his first podium at the Italian Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen, who has won five consecutive victories with this, may be able to secure the F1 world title for the second consecutive year at the F1 Singapore GP in two weeks.

Lewis Hamilton was one of the drivers to receive a Back-of-grid penalty at the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix due to an engine-related penalty, and started the race from 19th on the grid on the last row.

Lewis Hamilton got off to a clean start but had to wait six laps before moving up the order. He finished the race in fifth place, two places behind his teammate who ended up on the podium in third place.

“I had a lot of fun on my way to fifth,” said Lewis Hamilton after the race.

We struggled in the early laps with high fuel loads and overheating tires in traffic, but as the race progressed we started to make progress. I had a little bit of fun after the pit stop where we dealt with the traffic.”

It wasn’t our best track this time, but we did the best we could as a team. Hopefully we can have a stronger weekend before the season is over.”

After the Mercedes F1 team’s undeniable progress over the summer, Lewis Hamilton felt a race win was in sight. .

But Lewis Hamilton says he is no longer sure he can break through Red Bull and Max Verstappen’s stronghold.

“We have to be realistic about Red Bull being almost invincible,” admitted Lewis Hamilton.

“It takes a lot of effort to beat that car. When it comes to performance, they are completely ahead of everyone.”

The Mercedes F1 team has worked tirelessly to develop and improve the W13, but few changes to the car in the second half of the season mean they will have to rely on luck to beat Red Bull/Verstappen.

“We’re not catching them, we’re not going to get any upgrades to pass them, so it’s going to take some luck to get our way,” added Hamilton.

“It’s not impossible because I probably beat them in Budapest, but he (Verstappen) is generally relaxed at the front so you never know their true pace. We’ll see what happens. Let’s try
