Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes F1) took second place on the podium in the 2022 F1 Round 12 French Grand Prix final.
Lewis Hamilton performed well in the 300th anniversary of F1. He overtook Sergio Perez (Red Bull) at a preeminent start and finished in 2nd place, the best result of the season, with a stable race pace. He won the podium for four consecutive races.
“It’s a great result given that I’ve been late all weekend and missed FP1,” said Lewis Hamilton.
“I didn’t expect to be competing for second place or the podium and it’s a great result for us. Our team is really great in terms of credibility and shows that with dedication and concentration we can move forward gradually.”
“It’s not as fast as the top two teams yet, but today we were able to keep one of them down and it’s a great result for us. Everyone is really working hard.
