Levski” sold striker Welton to the Japanese club “Gamba” (Osaka). The Brazilian played for the Blues since February 2022, with the team having 79 matches and 17 goals in all competitions.

“The management, sports and technical staff, footballers and employees of “PFK Levski” thank Welton for his high professionalism, dedication and wonderful moments with the blue team and wish him good health, personal and professional success,” the club’s announcement reads.

A transfer fee has not been mentioned, with Gamba expected to pay €2 million, but the deal includes additional bonuses based on the Brazilian’s performance.

“I am very happy to join Gamba (Osaka). I hope the season will be good for the team and we will make our great fans happy. We will fight together to achieve our goals, I will give my best, for to make you happy,” Welton said at his official introduction to his new club.

Before Welton, “Levski” also parted with another Brazilian who was a main part of the attack – Ronaldo, who moved to the Russian “Rostov” for 2 million euros. In the winter, the Blues traded Darlan and Jeremy Petris. The captain Andrian Kraev, who refused to sign a new contract with the club, was left out of the “Levski” team.

The Blues also attracted three new players – Fabio Lima, Carlos Ohene and Joaquin Fernandez.
