Cardinal Kevin Farrell wished that the next Youth Day, which was delayed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, would be a fresh start for us and the community. He said that this face-to-face meeting should bridge the gap between nations and cultures and this is what the World Youth Forum has always aimed for since its inception, this message never gets old and it is much needed today. He also pointed out the need for the youth to be leaders in the preparation for this youth gathering.

Two international conferences are held regularly as part of the preparations for the youth meeting at the global church level. The first of these will take place in Rome and the second will take place one year before the youth meeting, in the host country or city where it will take place.
